Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Runs World's Fastest Women's 100m in Nearly 33 Years

Jamaican Superstar Sets New Personal Best at Lausanne Diamond League

Fraser-Pryce Moves to Third on Women's 100m All-Time List

In a stunning display of athleticism, two-time Olympic 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica has set the world's fastest women's 100m time in nearly 33 years. At the Lausanne Diamond League meeting on Saturday, the 34-year-old shattered her previous personal best to beat reigning Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah's season-best mark.

Fraser-Pryce's blistering time of 10.60 seconds is the third-fastest ever recorded by a woman and puts her only behind American Florence Griffith-Joyner's world record of 10.49 seconds, set in 1988, and Carmelita Jeter's 10.64 seconds in 2009.

The Jamaican sprinter's remarkable performance comes on the heels of her fifth world championship in the 100m, further solidifying her claim as one of the greatest female sprinters of all time.
