Mike Ogilvie, a 34-year-old Winnipeg native, is set to make his return to The Bachelorette Canada. The former contestant from Season 1 will be joining the cast of Season 8, which premieres on October 21, 2021.
Ogilvie first appeared on The Bachelorette Canada in 2016, where he competed for the heart of Jasmine Lorimer. He made it to Hometowns before being eliminated in the eighth episode. Despite not winning Lorimer's hand in marriage, Ogilvie remained a fan favorite and has been vocal about his desire to return to the show.
In an interview with ET Canada, Ogilvie said, "I'm so excited to be back on The Bachelorette Canada. I had an amazing experience the first time around, and I'm hoping to find love again." He added, "I'm looking for someone who is kind, compassionate, and has a great sense of humor. I'm ready to find my soulmate."
Ogilvie is one of 16 contestants vying for the heart of Bachelorette Serena Pitt, a 28-year-old from Toronto. The season will be filmed in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, and will feature a variety of challenges and obstacles for the contestants.
