Mike Johnston Sworn In as 46th Mayor of Denver
Former State Senator and School Principal Takes Office
WEB Michael Christopher Johnston was sworn in as the 46th mayor of Denver on Monday morning. The 48-year-old Democrat, a former state senator and school principal, defeated incumbent Mayor Michael Hancock in the November election.
Johnston ran on a platform of progressive values, including affordable housing, public education, and environmental protection. He has pledged to make Denver a more equitable and sustainable city for all residents.
