Diddy Combs, known as the "Godfather of Hip-Hop," is putting together a new R&B group and plans to be the manager.

According to XXL, he’s inviting singers, songwriters, and producers to submit their music through his website, Ouraring.com. Anyone who is interested can apply.

He has selected a group of industry leaders to help him find the talent. The process has started and he’s expected to select the official group next year.

Diddy’s expectations for the new group

Diddy wants to create a group that has its own signature sound and can compete with the best in the industry.

In an interview with The Source, he said, "I'm looking for singers who can bring a new, fresh sound to R&B. I want to create a group that can stand up to the greats like Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and TLC.".

He is confident that he can find the talent he needs to make this happen.
